So what’s the deal?

The Philadelphia Chalk Festival is an annual street painting event created in 2020 to support local artists, businesses and community members in various neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia. Patrons are encouraged to take a self-guided tours to participating locations to view murals created by local artists!

Since its initial launch, the Philadelphia Chalk Festival has partnered with organizations such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Fairmount Parks Conservancy to bring chalk art to their events. Additionally, the festival has connected previous participating artists with opportunities to work for clients such as prior mayoral candidate, Helen Gym, Camelback Resort and the Democratic National Committee.

Each year the festival aims to take place in a new neighborhood in Philadelphia to highlight its artists and businesses adding additional components such as music and theater, to its growing offerings!
